Come and visit us!

Welcome to the Little Acorns Family!

We are proud to share with you our beautiful woodland nursery. Little Acorns is run and managed by a team of experienced staff who are both parents and qualified teachers, meaning that we know just how important finding the right setting for your little ones is. With a free-flow between indoor and outdoor learning enviroments, we offer the skills and expertise to nurture the natural curiosity which forms the foundations of a great learner.

Our purpose-built nursery building is set in the heart of Brighton at Dorothy Stringer Nature Reserve, providing an oasis of fresh air and freedom away from the busy city centre.

Our setting

Here at Little Acorns Brighton, we offer a blended approach to learning. For all of these, the child is at the heart of guiding their own development and our well-planned opportunities and rich learning environment underpin this.

Our woodland site is split into five main areas, providing ample indoor and outdoor space to play and explore. The purpose-built nursery building also means that we are able to offer children free-flow between indoor and outdoor environments.

Our indoor environment is split into four main sections: a quiet baby room, creative messy area, role play and a reading nook. Outdoors we have two wooden role play cabins, messy play trays, a large wooden climbing frame and an astroturfed babyzone.

Opening hours

Little Acorns is open for 52 weeks of the year, between 8am and 6pm. We are closed on bank holidays and have 2 annual staff training days. Please get in touch for an overview of the year.

Early Years Funding

We know that financing childcare can be difficult and that is why we are pleased to accept EYFE funding for 2 ,3 & 4 year olds (where eligible). This 15 or 30 hour funding can be used as either part or full payment for the time your child spends at Little Acorns. We also have a low cost day rate for any additional days, covering all food, nappies and full care from 8am-6pm.

For details on the way our funding is spread, please get in touch with us for a fee pack or arrange a meeting where we will be happy to discuss the most cost-effective way to organise your childcare.
