Our Vision

Be kind

All children deserve a wonderful start to their education and our staff provide exceptional role models for forming positive relationships. Happy, confident children are good learners and a focus will always be placed on how to build kindness into relationships with both nursery staff and peers.

Be curious

Engagement is everything. Children learn best when they are engaged and care about their learning. Learning at Little Acorns is magical and full of wonder, awe and exploration. Play will always be the vehicle that we use to deliver learning in our environment, with a sprinkle of ICT for good measure! We believe children should always be in charge of their learning so that they have ownership.

Be ready to learn

Children deserve the best possible start in life and it will always be
our goal to get the children “School Ready”. Little Acorns is teacher owned and managed - we know where the children need to be by the time they start school in Reception and we work in partnership with our families to make sure they have all the skills necessary to take their first steps into the primary classroom when they leave us.

Be active

Outdoor and Physical learning underpins our curriculum where possible. Due to our woodland setting we are able to offer a free-flow between indoor and outdoor, using our wonderful outdoor space as an extension of the indoor learning environment.

Be safe

We take the safety and well-being the children in our care very seriously. Safeguarding is always our first priority. We have stringent policies in place and ensure staff always have the most up to date training.

Little Acorn's Vision Statement focuses on our five key priorities: nurture, engagement, school readiness, physical activity and safeguarding.
